Kristin Rose Kelly, Director, Composer and 3rd year MFA student at Virginia Tech, originally produced this play at Virginia Tech and adapted the script for the Roanoke community. Inspired by her mother’s professional experience as an engineer and the use of Verbatim Documentary Theatre, she connects local voices, stories and experiences across time and space to allow audiences to better understand the world in which we live. The script is comprised of interviews from the Roanoke community including Virginia Western engineering and technology students, faculty, staff and other professionals. This collaborative event is made possible by Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts and WoTech, part of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council. It is sponsored by AEP.
