Virginia Western Community College earned honorable mention for its website design in the e.Republic’s Center for Digital Education’s 2013 Digital Education Achievement Awards (DEAA) and Best of the Web Awards (BOW).
The Best of the Web Awards recognize and honor outstanding K-12 and higher education websites while the Digital Education Achievement Awards recognize outstanding contributions at the application, intranet and infrastructure level, all to the benefit and quality of online education for students, teachers and the community.
“Educational institutions are constantly tasked with creating quality websites and applications to deliver services and enhance learning,” said Kim Frame, Executive Director of the Center for Digital Education. “This year’s winners are cognizant of this challenge and have developed innovative models to increase learning and promote achievement via the use of technology. The Center congratulates them for creativity and dedication toward excellence!”
