Our own Marci Myers recently received Virginia Western’s Classified Staff Outstanding Achievement award. Why did Marci win? Not only does she do a great job every day, but she also serves on VCCS committees for InfoGuides, redesigned our InfoGuides, and set up a faculty notification system for book purchases. Congratulations, Marci!

Author Ray Bradbury is credited with this writing advice: “Quantity produces quality. If you only write a few things you are doomed.” The same could be said about research for that final paper–the more research you do, the better information you will find.
So, hi there, you tired and weary students struggling to get that final research paper done. Help is available. You can come to the Reference Desk, top floor of Brown Library, for in-person research and citation help. Or, you can use the library online contacts to get questions answered by clicking here: http://www.virginiawestern.edu/library/askalibrarian/index.php .
Other really good sources can be found on the Purdue University Online Writing Center site: https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/658/01/ and (for APA citing) at http://blog.apastyle.org/
