Transferring Credits from ITT Technical Institute to Virginia Western Community College
Virginia Western has a well-established process to review any transfer student's academic history and establish their placement at the college. This process includes evaluation of a student's official transcripts, course syllabi, and the credentials of the faculty members who taught the student's classes.
To begin this review process, former ITT students should complete an application for admission to Virginia Western. Additionally, we encourage students to add Virginia Western to their 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Former ITT students interested in receiving a review of their previous academic coursework can request official transcripts from ITT using the following link: http://itt-tech.info/. Course syllabi for ITT classes can be accessed at http://itt-tech.info/course-syllabi/.
Virginia Western Community College has contacted the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) to determine what options may exist for former ITT students to obtain faculty credential information. Please monitor this website for additional information as it becomes available.
