The Application Support department has three main support areas: the web site, database applications support, and SIS/Peoplesoft support.
The Web Site
The web site, including all WordPress sites, is maintained by Jaime Shetrone and Jason Reid. All requests for changes and suggestions for improvement should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests are generally completed by the end of the next business day.
Database Applications & the Intranet (VWConnect)
This area is maintained by Melanie Crouch.
- The VWCC Extended Services Application gives authenticated access to students for things like advising, testing center access and so on. Faculty and Staff are granted access to manage the applications via the admin section.
- The VWCC Virginia Western Internal Application gives authenticated access to Faculty and Staff of Virginia Western to IIWS and other applications, which streamline their work processes.
- The VWCC Intranet is currently only accessible from on-campus locations. This will soon be replaced by a “new improved” web site that will be accessible from off-campus.
- All requests for changes and suggestions for improvement should be submitted to email@example.com.
