The Virginia Community College System email system is hosted by Google Apps, and everyone (students, faculty, and staff) with a MyVWCC username is assigned a Gmail account. The Google email system provides you with a very reliable and secure way to send and receive email. Emails are delivered through a web browser and email addresses will not change.
Faculty & Staff: This is not your official Virginia Western email address. If you do not want to check multiple email addresses, you should forward your Gmail to your Outlook email account.

Google Calendar

How do I log in to my student email account?
To log in to your student email account, log in to MyVWCC and then click the Gmail tile.
When you first log on:
Please be aware that when you first log into your Google account you must first click through and agree to a new consumer Terms of Service (TOS). No Google apps can be accessed until users agree to these new TOS. To see the TOS, visit https://www.email.vccs.edu/terms-of-service.
I do not know my email password – how do I reset it?
How to change your MyVWCC password (Note: This changes all passwords for the MyVWCC system.)
My name has changed. Can my email name be updated?
Your email name can be updated to reflect name changes, however we discourage this because a new email account will be created and all old emails will be lost. Contact the Help Desk at 540-857-7354 if you choose to begin this process.

I deleted an email from my Trash folder. Can I get it back?
If a deleted item is no longer in your Trash folder, it is gone. VWCC does not have any ability to restore deleted items.
