Following is a list of scholarships that are typically available during a scholarship application cycle. Scholarships listed may not be currently available.

Appalachian Power Endowed Scholarship Provides assistance for tuition, books, and other related fees to students enrolled in the Engineering and Technology Program. Students must maintain 9 credit hours with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Priority is given to Appalachian Power employees and their dependents; if none apply, then preference is given to those demonstrating financial need. 2.50 9 credits Engineering
Lucian Y. and June B. Grove Honorary Endowed Scholarship Provides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses to students enrolled in the Engineering Program. If no Engineering student is eligible for this scholarship, consideration will be given to a student enrolled in the Education Track Program. The student must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and may be enrolled full or part time. The student must detail commitment to living and working in the Roanoke Region and Commonwealth of Virginia in the section provided on the scholarship application. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need. 3.00 6 credits Engineering

Nicholas E. Janney Memorial Scholarship Provides assistance for tuition, books, and other related expenses for students in the Automotive Technology Program or the Engineering Program, with a preference given to students in the Automotive Technology Program. Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need, with a preference for recent graduates from Botetourt County. 2.00 6 credits Automotive Technology
Engineering
Hal & Lorraine Jones Memorial Annual Scholarship Funds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition, books, testing fees and other related expenses to a Virginia Western student seeking an industry-recognized credential through the College's Workforce Solutions division. As a condition of acceptance, the scholarship recipient(s) in any given year must commit to finishing the required coursework and testing as well as attending a donor recognition ceremony scheduled by the Educational Foundation. Stanard and Betty Lanford Endowed Scholarship Provides assistance for tuition, books, and other related expenses to students enrolled in the Engineering Division. Preference is given to students who graduated from William Fleming High School, but if none are eligible, others may apply. Priority is given to students demonstrating financial need. 2.00 6 credits Engineering
John Morris Roslyn Educational Scholarship Provides assistance for tuition, books and other related expenses for students in the programs of Math, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Engineering (concentrating on Robotics or Mini Baja program) who meet the following criteria:

-- The recipient must be a US citizen and a resident of Virginia for at least one year;
-- The recipient must demonstrate financial need with preference given to those who have overcome adversity or shown tenacity in bettering themselves;
-- The recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours and maintain a 3.0 grade point average;
-- The recipient will continue to receive the scholarship in the fall and spring semesters for up to three years if he/she maintains the criteria set by this scholarship;
-- Recipients will receive additional funds per year if GPA is 3.5 or higher for the year, paid after each year is completed.

Dolores Martin Skelly Endowed Scholarship Provides assistance for tuition, books and other related fees to students enrolled in Natural Science and Mathematics Division's associate of science program with specialization in mathematics. Students must be graduates of Patrick Henry or William Fleming high schools in the city of Roanoke. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need. 2.00 6 credits Mathematics
Fralin & Waldron, Inc. Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Craig E. Via Funds from the Scholarship shall provide assistance for tuition, books and other related fees to students enrolled in Architectural/Civil Technology. Students must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average. Priority is given to those demonstrating financial need. 3.00 6 credits Architectural or Civil Engineering
