General Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, patiently and empathetically with students, faculty, and staff. Experience in a customer service role is preferred.
- Confidentiality and Professionalism: Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive student information in accordance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team to support the needs of students with disabilities.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions to enhance student services.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and willingness to learn new technologies relevant to disability services.

Purpose or Role of the Position within the Organization:
To provide support to students, faculty and staff as it relates to the Office of Disability Services.
Duties/Responsibilities of the Position and How they Relate to the Purpose or Role
- Front Office Reception: Provide coverage for the front office reception of the suite, which includes Disability Services (DS), Intervention Services, Great Expectations, and TRIO.
- Welcome Visitors: Greet all visitors to the office suite, providing assistance and redirecting inquiries to appropriate on-campus resources and services as needed.
- Information Assistance: Answer general inquiries regarding the process of applying for accommodation through Disability Services, including guidance on submitting the online intake form and necessary documentation.
- Appointment Notification: Notify office suite staff when their students arrive for scheduled appointments.
- Appointment Scheduling: Assist Disability Services students in scheduling appointments with DS staff, ensuring an organized and efficient process.
- Document Management: Receive, scan, and copy documents submitted by students to the Disability Services office, ensuring proper handling and organization of sensitive materials.
Performance Evaluations will be conducted shortly before the end of the job assignment.
