A grant is financial aid for which neither work nor repayment is required. The following are the federal-funded grant programs available at VWCC.
Federal Pell Grant
The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $7395 for the 2023-24 award year. The amount you get, though, will depend on:
- your financial need,
- your cost of attendance,
- your status as a full-time or part-time student, and
- your plans to attend school for a full academic year or less.
You may not receive Federal Pell Grant funds from more than one school at a time. For more information on federal financial aid grant and loan programs visit www.studentaid.gov.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
Priority is given to Pell Grant recipients with the greatest remaining need. Amounts not used for tuition and fees may be used to purchase books. Any remaining amounts will be refunded to you.
SEOG funds are limited and awarded to students with complete financial aid files as funds remain available.
