Speaking at 6 p.m.
Whitman Theater – 1st Floor, Business Science
Dr. Bhatnagar is the leading expert on studying the effects of air pollution on heart disease. He is spearheading the development of the field of Environmental Cardiology, which links heart disease risk to natural, social, and personal environments.
In this talk he will share about the positive impact of trees on human health! Did you know that trees can filter air pollution that impacts human arteries – thus reducing blood pressure and stress? Dr. Bhatnagar helped launch the Green Heart Louisville initiative in 2018 that planted nearly 8,000 trees and shrubs in low-to-middle income neighborhoods – researchers have measured nearly 500 residents with definitive positive results in health!
