The “You Make the Difference” program is peer-to-peer recognition program acknowledging one-time or ongoing exemplary actions and/or behaviors such as but not limited to excellent customer service, teamwork, and meeting the challenge.   The You Make the Difference program provides monthly recognition awards and an annual event.

You Make the Difference Employee Recognition Event

1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

RSVP to Denise Schuh at dschuh@virginiawestern.edu not later than noon on Friday, February 14, 2025 in order to have enough food for all participants and to comply with SSC food purchasing requirements!

All employees are invited to stop by to socialize at this event.  An assortment of Seasons and Occasions appetizers and desserts will be provided. There will be reward drawings too!  Eligibility for reward drawings is limited to employees that have received a “You Make the Difference” card issued from February 17, 2024 to February 17, 2025.  Please bring your You Make the Difference cards with you or deposit early in the drawing box located in the Human Resources Office. Cards will also be available for you to complete at the time of the event to place in the drawing box.  Employees who have been awarded movie passes within the past year will not lose their eligibility for the award drawings at the annual event. 

Award drawings will consist of Sony earbuds, roadside emergency kit, carry-and-go picnic blanket, iLive speaker, and movie tickets.
