Join Virginia Western’s Booth at the GO Outside Festival!

Virginia Western is excited to be a participating partner at GO Outside Festival, led by the Horticulture Club and Community Arboretum! We’ll have a booth at Elmwood Park in downtown Roanoke with educational, plant-centered activities, giveaways and opportunities to share our programs and resources.

As one of Roanoke’s most popular events, this is an excellent opportunity to connect with the community! Anyone from Virginia Western is welcome to sign up for a shift.
2-hour shifts are available on these dates:

  • Friday, October 18
  • Saturday, October 19
  • Sunday, October 20

The Roanoke GO Outside Festival is an annual event to encourage healthy, active outside recreation. By combining the things outdoor enthusiasts love – camping, music, gear, races, and demos all in a beautiful outdoor setting – GO Fest is a celebration of everything outdoors. Learn more on the festival website.

Clark BeCraft or Tonya Judd will contact all booth volunteers with instructions for greeting guests at the booth and activities at the booth. For event questions, please contact Horticulture Program Head Clark BeCraft at cbecraft@virginiawestern.edu
