Thanks to donors like you, the Educational Foundation was able to help 159 students overcome crises of dire unemployment, housing, transportation, food, medical or technology needs with $54,785 in support in 2023-24 alone.
The need is greater than you think, as students struggle with very real-life challenges. According to the latest College Student Inventory of CCAP students:
- 91 percent of our students must work
- 43 percent are first in their family to attend college
- 28 percent have no family financial support systems
- 18 percent are unsure of where they will sleep tonight
Help bring hope where it is needed most with a gift to the Virginia Western Rapids Response Student Emergency Fund.

Weekly drawings: If you donate $10 or more, your name will be entered into a weekly drawing of goodies given to the Educational Foundation to encourage the Employee Giving Campaign. One donation keeps you in the prize pool for the duration of the 7-week giving campaign.
Winners will be announced every Wednesday in the Bulletin now through Oct. 2. If you see your name listed, please stop by to pick up your prize Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon in the Educational Foundation office.
