Employee Giving: Students Shouldn’t Have to Choose Between Food and Their Education

  • It is estimated that 30 percent to 50 percent of community college students are food insecure.  Our students, right here, right now.
  • Virginia Western’s Food Co-Op was visited 800 times by 205 students in 2023-24.
  • 80 percent of students utilizing the pantry in fall 2023 re-enrolled in classes in spring 2024.
  • More than $30,000 in support is needed every year.

Help our students today as they prepare to help themselves tomorrow. Consider a gift to the Virginia Western Student Food Co-Op, Fueled by Kroger.
