Virginia Western is driven to maintain a healthy and safe campus. Please note that Coronavirus remains active in the Roanoke Valley and is on the rise. Additionally, we are monitoring an uptick nationally, in seasonal Influenza type illnesses. With Thanksgiving gatherings now over, we want to make sure everybody stays aware of COVID and Flu like symptoms. Please continue to follow appropriate hygiene practices like washing hands, wiping down touch surfaces, staying home if sick, and considering vaccinations if appropriate. VWCC is guided by resources from the Virginia Department of Health, CDC, and the college’s own Contagious Disease Policy. Links to each of these resources can be found below.
Please remember: frequently wash your hands, wipe surfaces, stay home if sick, and vaccinate as appropriate. With the Christmas holidays fast approaching, let us all stay as healthy as possible.
