Student Activities Highlights for Spring 2023

In addition to our many clubs, students will have a wide array of student life programs to join in the Spring 2023 semester.

For many students, having a sense of belonging is a key factor for their retention. Student Life programs aim to bring students together to build their network and meet other students with common interests who can help provide social support when needed.

Here are some highlights for this semester:

Set your Goals with a Vision Board (Tuesday, February 7 )
All supplies included to create a vision board. Students use the process to shape goals and aspirations.
Starts at 11 a.m. – Student Life Center – 3rd floor (Coffee Shop)
Trip to Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech – Hairspray! The Musical (Tuesday, February 14)
Transportation, ticket and dinner included. Sign up with Student Activities to reserve space.
Leaves VWCC at 3:30 p.m.
Horseback Riding at Reba Farms (Friday, April 5)
Leaves VWCC at 9:45 a.m. Sign up with Fitness Center to reserve space.
Spring Fling (Thursday, April 20)

Recreation and Fitness Programs
Monday:
Basketball (5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
Monday and Thursday after Spring Break: Group hiking with Sharon (leaves campus at 9 a.m.) Schedule available at the Fitness Center.
Tuesday and Wednesdays: Nutrition Drop-In with Holly (10 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
Tuesday and Thursday: Vinyasa Yoga with Leilani (10:45 a.m.)
Tuesday: Soccer (5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)
Wednesday: Volleyball (Noon – 2 p.m.)
Wednesday: BODYPUMP with Carole (Noon)
Various Fridays: Climbing at River Rock Climbing Gym (February 10, March 2, March 31, April 14, April 21)
