VWCC Community,
It is with great joy to share that VWCC had a successful SACSCOC substantive change visit last week. The Surgical Technology program was approved by our national accreditor, The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
The committee particularly noted several exciting efforts that the college was doing in their response report:
- They were very impressed with our robust academic assessment model and how it is integrated into Shared Governance. (Shout out to the Assessment Team and the Program Heads!)
- Prior to their arrival, the committee already had the majority of their response report written thanks to the detailed narrative and excellent documentation provided. Special thanks to those who reviewed narratives, amended previously used narratives, and provided documentation. You are numerous.
- The VCCS graciously provided documentation that assisted our submission’s success.
Our success was truly a team effort – thank you to everyone who contributed!
