Virginia Western has long carried the tradition of highlighting two local charities to support leading into the winter holidays. The pandemic put a pause on this tradition, and we are ready to bring it back!
This month we wish to feature and collect donations for our very own Virginia Western Student Co-op, fueled by Kroger – Give Now!. This food pantry has continued to assist our students throughout the pandemic. By clicking the link above, and/or you may offer a financial donation at the online access point. If you prefer to donate items directly to the pantry, you will find a list below of much needed items that may be dropped off at the co-op site in the Student Life Building. Your kind donations will assist in stocking the pantry for spring semester. The second charity we wish to collect/accept donations for is the Roanoke City Schools Homeless Students Fund. By clicking this link, you will find the story behind this collection and also a place to donate online.
We hope you will find one or both charities worthy of donating to as these collections will serve our immediate area and in the most impactful way, through our current and future students!
Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Happy Holidays!
