Nominations are now being accepted for the Virginia Western Achievement Award through 5 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021.

The Virginia Western Achievement Award is designed to acknowledge noteworthy, specific or ongoing employee contributions or accomplishments that are beyond regular normal expectations of assigned work duties that assists the college in achieving its mission.  Supervisors, co-workers, or colleagues can submit an employee nomination for consideration.  You may also self-nominate with supporting corroboration.

Eligible employees consists of all full-time faculty, classified staff, adjuncts, and classified wage employees. 

Up to three (3) recipients will each receive a $200 honorarium with their name and the reason(s) for the nomination posted on the weekly bulletin. Those awarded will receive their honorarium no later than January 2022.

The nomination form is located on VW Connect/Human Resources/Rewards and Recognition Forms/Annual Awards/Award Nomination Form.  Submit the completed nomination to Human Resources.  The Rewards and Recognition Workgroup will review and rank the nominations for this award.
