Here’s this week’s roundup of free professional learning opportunities, which features a Chronicle of Higher Education webinar on Aug. 31 entitled, “The Road Ahead for Community Colleges.” Panelists will include the president of Achieving the Dream and Amarillo College (which I’ve gushed about before).

Thursday, Aug. 26, 2 p.m.: How can we best conduct active learning after the pandemic?
We will explore this pedagogical question with the help of a world leader in teaching and learning. Eric Mazur, Balkanski Professor of Physics and Applied Physics and Area Chair of Applied Physics at Harvard University, is a pioneer in developing modern active learning techniques.
