Open Enrollment for full-time employees will be active from May 3 through May 17, so please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the process and determine whether or not you will need to take any action during this window. Remember… this window is established by the Commonwealth and submissions either before or after these dates will not be accepted.
The Spotlight on Your Benefits contains additional information about upcoming modifications and guidelines for determining whether action is needed. Two of the most commonly missed opportunities are:
(1) Not taking action to participate in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for the upcoming year. Even if you are currently participating, you must re-enroll each year.
(2) Not completing your online health assessment to begin or continue to receive premium rewards for the upcoming year. These assessments must be completed within the Open Enrollment window (submissions prior to May 3 or after May 17 will not count) in order for the premium rewards to be in place when the new year begins on July 1, 2021.
Important Completion Information: with teleworking arrangements still in place, it is strongly advised to complete your enrollment online, if able. Please ensure that you leave yourself plenty of time to navigate any potential system challenges or questions that may arise. Directions for how to complete your enrollment online are within the attachment. HR will be available during the following times to collect paper forms if you are unable to process your enrollment online:
- Tuesday, May 4, 10a-2p
- Friday, May 7, Noon-4p
- Tuesday, May 11, 10a-2p
- Friday, May 14, Noon-4p
Additionally, you may place completed forms in a sealed envelope and slide them under the door to the HR suite; we will notify you via email when they are received. Please note that the deadlines are established by the state and are not flexible, regardless of which method you use. It is highly recommended that you complete your enrollment during the first half of the enrollment period, if able.
Please reach out to HR with any questions.
