Computer and information technology is designed to prepare students for employment in the fields of cyber security, networking, software design, data collection and manipulation, web applications, and programming and database. Within many of our courses the students have opportunities to receive industry certifications. Courses are taught with an applied approach giving our students opportunities to learn from practice exercises. Virginia Western offers opportunities for students interested in transferable computer science degrees or information technology degrees prepare them for employment.
Associate of Applied Science Degrees ⓘAssociate of Applied Science (AAS) programs are designed to prepare students to directly enter the workforce. Some programs may be able to transfer to four-year institutions with which we have agreements.
