Phlebotomy :: Apply

The VWCC School of Health Professions offers a career studies certificate for this 16 credit curriculum, which must be completed in one semester.

When To Apply

Fall 2019

The application period for the fall phlebotomy program ended June 14. If we need to reopen the application period, we plan to open the session in July and the application will be available here during established dates.

Preadmission Requirements

The following requirements must be met to apply for admission into the Phlebotomy - Career Studies Certificate program:

  • Eighteen years of age or older
  • Completed VWCC college application on file (must be done before or during application period)
  • Satisfactory score on the VWCC placement/assessment tests for math and English (testing must be completed before or during application period)

Application Processing

Applications will be accepted during the specified application period only. The program application form must be submitted to: Pam Woody, VWCC – Health Professions, 3091 Colonial Ave., Roanoke, VA 24015 or may be hand delivered to CSHP Room 339. Enrollment is restricted and limited to 14 students. Accepted students will be notified and given registration information once acceptance has been confirmed by the program head.
