Definitions
Active student: Any student with an “Active” status in SIS, regardless of how many credits have been completed.
Policy
Once a program/plan has been approved for discontinuance, the college must provide an opportunity for all active students in the program/plan to complete the curricular requirements. Active students will be given the following timeframe to complete their curricular requirements once they have been notified that the program/plan will be discontinued:
Career Studies Certificate: One catalog year from point of discontinuance
Certificate: Two catalog years from point of discontinuance
AA, AS or AAS Degree: Three catalog years from point of discontinuance
