Virginia Western’s campus is primarily dedicated to academic, student life and administrative functions. However it also represents the “marketplace of ideas,” and especially for students, many areas of campus represent a public forum for speech and other expressive activities. While Virginia Western may establish reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions on expressive activity, Virginia Western shall not interfere with the rights of individuals and groups to the free expression of their views.
If a member of the campus community or invited guests perceives that their constitutionality protected speech is violated then the incident can be reported with the form below.
In cases of emergency, you should contact Campus Police at 540-857-7979 or for emergency incidents that require a public safety response, call 9-1-1.
