Admission to any clinical education site is contingent upon receipt and approval of the following:
- Physical exam by a medical physician to include basic blood test
- Essential Function form completed by medical physician
- Completed Immunization and/or titer record (MMR, Hep B, Tdap, Varicella Zoster, Polio) or other current clinical requirements
- Completed PPD for TB screening (initial 2 step screening)
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Negative criminal background check
- Negative drug screen
- COVID-19 – Vaccination proof or Exemption Form for specific clinical sites.
- COVID vaccine may be required to attend specific clinical sites
- Completion and approval of site-specific clinical education department requirements
- Must be 18 years old before September 1 of the year accepted into the program
NOTE: Successful completion of clinical requirements does not guarantee admission to the program. Successful completion of academic requirements and acceptance into the program does not guarantee admission into the clinical site. Students must successfully complete both academic and clinical requirements to be a student in the program and progress in the program.
COST OF ATTENDANCE
The cost of attendance is an estimate of the costs a student may have while at Virginia Western.
