Important dates for submitting rosters, dropping or adding a class, withdrawing from a class and entering grades can be found on the Dual Enrollment Calendar.
The calendar is prepared based on the start/end date of the high school semester. Please review the calendar posted below based on that criterion.
- Students and parents involved with dual enrollment classes at a high school should refer to the Dual Enrollment Calendar below.
- Students taking classes on the VWCC campus or online classes should refer to the Academic Calendar.
The Dual Enrollment Calendar is created based on “average” dates between school divisions. Due dates are also determined based on VCCS submission deadlines and some cannot be altered.
Counselors will submit through Google Docs or e-mail to John McLaughlin, Dawn Wright or the DE Office.
Instructors will submit via the VWCC CANVAS for DE or to their VWCC Program Head. Please check your CANVAS account for additional instructions.
NOTE: Calendar may be adjusted based on closings or delays by the high school divisions or the college. No Grades will be posted until all high schools have submitted grade rosters. Students should check their MYVWCC portal to verify if grades have been posted prior to ordering any transcripts to be sent to other colleges.

Class Start Date: Rosters are due prior to the start date of the VWCC class.
Last day to DROP a class: Teachers need to print out their VWCC SIS class roster and verify that it is correct. Billing to the school divisions will initiate after this date.
Last day to WITHDRAW from a class: There is no tuition refund for classes that a student has been withdrawn from. The student will have a “W” on their transcript providing they are passing the class at the time of withdrawal. Withdrawing from a class counts as one of the two attempts allowed for taking a class. Students seeking to repeat a class for the 3rd time must submit the Third Repeat Request Form (PDF) and should review VCCS Policy I-42: Repeating a Course.
