Program Specifics
- Meets many of the core curriculum requirements for the transferable Social Sciences: Education Major, AS degree. Additional coursework is required to earn the Associate’s Degree
- High School aged 11th and 12th graders are encourage to apply
- Many classes are offered on-line
- Students must have a 3.0 HS GPA and completed Algebra I with a “C” or higher.
- Students will need to commit to volunteer hours in a K-6 grade classroom

Admission Requirements
- Applicants must meet the general requirements for admission to the college
- Students must complete the Academy Application and submit all supporting documentation noted in the application.
- Students must meet the program admission requirements – High school GPA of 3.0+ and completion of Algebra II with a grade of “C” or higher.
Note: Students are encouraged to take the dual enrollment classes at the high school that align with the degree requirements including:
- 10th Grade
- AP World History (HIS 111)
- 11th Grade
- Dual Enrollment College Composition (ENG 111/112)
- Dual Enrollment Pre-Calc (MTH 167) OR MTH 161 or MTH 154
- Dual Enrolment US History (HIS 121/122)
- 12th Grade
- Dual Enrollment Statistical Reasoning – (MTH 155)
- Dual Enrollment English Literature (ENG 245/225)
- Dual Enrollment Biology (BIO 101/102)
