This curriculum is designed to academically prepare students to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam. Graduates who successfully complete the NREMT certification exam will become a state certified EMT and will be Nationally Registered as an EMT. Employment opportunities include EMT positions at ambulance services, hospitals, government emergency medical services or fire agencies such as public safety departments.
Admission Requirements
- Applicants must meet the general requirements for admission to the college
- Students must complete the Academy Application and submit all supporting documentation noted in the application.
- Students must meet the program admission requirements — High school GPA of 2.5+ and completion of Algebra I with a grade of “C” or higher
