Description

This 10-week course is designed to prepare students for the PMP Certification exam. It reviews the concepts of Project Management as defined by the Project Management Institute, the accrediting body for project management.  It will also fulfill the requirement for 35 contact hours of project management education for individuals seeking PMP certification (visit http://www.pmi.org/CareerDevelopment/Pages/Obtaining-Credential.aspx for more information).

PMP certification is the profession’s most globally recognized and respected certification credential. The PMP designation following your name tells current and potential employers that you have a solid foundation of project management knowledge that can be readily applied in the workplace.

Course Objectives

  • Understand the nine project management knowledge areas;
  • Understand how these knowledge areas integrate with the five process groups of project management;
  • Prepare to pass the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification exam.
