Greenfield Education & Training Center

Located in a picturesque setting, the Greenfield Center is the perfect facility for your group meeting, retreat, conference, or special event.  The 40,000 square foot building offers eight meeting rooms including an 85 seat lecture hall, computer lab, and formal conference room.  The 2,776 square foot lobby areas offer plenty of space for special events.  Guests can enjoy spectacular views from the lobby areas and several classrooms.

The panoramic views and beautiful, natural setting provides a relaxing atmosphere perfect for retreats and training meetings.  Located off Interstate 81, exit 150B, the center is easily accessible and is only 20 minutes from downtown Roanoke. It’s the perfect place to get away for a day, or a week.  After hours, social events are easy and memorable, surrounded by nature’ majestic landscape.

Free Business Workshop Series at The Greenfield Center

The Greenfield Center is pleased to offer educational workshops to help companies gain a broader perspective of the types of technology available to run and improve their businesses. The programs are presented by Sandy Ratliff, Business Services Manager for the Virginia Department of Business Assistance (VDBA).

The Business Workshop Series consists of various learning programs including:

CPR Certification/AED/First Aid -- October 18, 2014
Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM $45 per student
This class provides training and certification in CPR/AED/First Aid for adult/child and infant. Caregivers, health-care workers, and individuals who work with children or the elderly are often required to maintain current CPR and AED certification as a condition of their employment. This class will focus on basic principles and techniques of safety and first aid, life-threatening emergencies, and sudden illness. Contractor Business Licensing -- October 18, 2014
Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM $185 per student
This course is eight (8) hours of classroom training that meets DPOR training requirements for individuals seeking to obtain a contractor’s license in Virginia. Textbooks are included in the $185.00 tuition. Tuition is due within five (5) days of submitting your application and enrolling in the class. Tuition must be paid no later than three (3) days before class starts. The class is held at the Greenfield Education and Training Center in Daleville, VA. Intermediate Dog Obedience -- October 22, 29 & November 5, 12, 19, 25, 2014

The Intermediate Dog Obedience class is open to students who have completed a basic dog obedience course or has a mature, trained dog who wants to learn more. This class is a great refresher of previously learned skills, it builds advanced stays, will begin distance cues, increases impulse control and so much more. Also, includes fun trick training that the dogs will love! Proof of immunizations and rabies vaccine required. This class is taught by Karen Gritis. 16 Hour Backflow Prevention & Device Certification Training -- November 21 & 22, 2014

This course is sixteen (16) hours of classroom training that meets Dept. of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) requirements for Backflow Prevention and Device Certification. Motor Vehicle Dealer Board Licensing Course – VIADA -- February 24 & 25, 2015
Tuesday & Wednesday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM $325 early registration; $375 after February 10, 2015
Early registration for the VIADA class is highly recommended, early registration ends Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Early registration fee is $325.00. Class is held at the Greenfield Education and Training Center, Daleville, VA. Please bring pencil/pen and a calculator to class with you. Classes start at 8:30 am and end at 4:00 pm. 40 Hour Backflow Prevention and Device Certification Training -- Spring 2015

This course is for anyone who has 7 years or less experience in Backflow Prevention. Forty (40) hours of classroom training meets DPOR requirements for Backflow Prevention and Device Certification Training. This course includes in-class instruction and hands-on training, which includes: Definition of Backflow, Health Issues, Plumbing Codes and Laws (VPC 608). Theory of Hydraulics, Methods for Preventing Backflow, Standards & Testing Labs, How the RP works, DCVA Testing Procedures, Freeze Problems, Wet Lab Practice and more. Materials are included in the cost of the course and will be available to all registered students on the day of the course. When is Payment Due for a Class?

Early enrollment, payment is due within five (5) days of submitting your application and enrolling in the class.

Late enrollment (within three days of the scheduled class start date), must pay at time of enrollment.
