Community Classes :: SAT Prep Course - Building Skills for Better Scores
Offered through VWCC Workforce Development in Partnership with Sylvan Learning of Roanoke
Description
In the SAT* Test Prep Course students will develop the abilities to:
- Apply specific strategies for every type of question on the test
- Devise a personal plan of attack for taking the test
- Understand effective answer strategies and process of elimination
- Implement an effective timing strategy to help raise scores
In addition, students will refresh their knowledge in areas covered by the tests:
Passage-based reading, math, writing (grammar), and essay writing. Students will also learn how to make the best use of calculators and notes in the test booklets.

- Dates/Time: January 28 - March 8, 2013 or March 12 - May 3, 2013; Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 4:30 - 6:30 PM
