On-Campus Distance Learning Student Orientation
This orientation is designed to familiarize new and prospective students with Virginia Western Community College's online learning environment. We make every effort to provide you with the tools and support you need to meet your learning goals.
Who should attend: Students who have never taken any distance learning courses at Virginia Western are encouraged to attend the orientation.
What we will do during the orientation: Introduce VWCC distance learning policies, online class formats, learning strategies, best practices, and where to get help. Representatives from other support offices will also present information about the services they are offering to distance learning students.
Online Distance Learning Student Orientation
(Don’t forget about the open labs that eLIT offers in the first week of the semester and we are located on the main floor of the Brown Library building. We want to wish you a successful semester in all your courses but don’t hesitate to take advantage of all the student resources at VWCC. It is better to seek help early than late.)
