VWExch@nge - Junk E-mail in Outlook Web Access (OWA)

Other Junk E-mail Options

Treat all e-mail as junk unless it comes from someone in my Safe Senders or Safe Recipients lists, or from senders in my organizationIn addition to the Safe Senders, Safe Recipients, and Blocked Senders lists, you can configure Outlook Web Access to treat all e-mail as junk unless it comes from someone included in your Safe Senders or Safe Recipients lists, or from senders in your organization. If you turn this option on or off, you must click Save to save your new settings. If you do not click Save before you leave the Junk E-Mail page in Options, you will receive a prompt that gives you the following choices: Save, Don't Save, and Cancel.

We don’t recommend that you choose this option.

Junk E-Mail and Phishing

Junk e-mail, also known as spam, can strain networks, clog e-mail servers, and fill mailboxes with unwanted and possibly offensive messages and images. Outlook Web Access helps you control unwanted and unsolicited messages by letting you control how junk e-mail is managed.

About Phishing

Phishing is a specific kind of junk e-mail that is used to obtain private information for use in identity theft and other scams. The e-mail message appears to come from a trusted source, such as your bank, and often includes the actual business logo and an apparently legitimate reply address.
