How CCAP Is Funded

The Community College Access Program is a series of private/public partnerships formed in each school district throughout Virginia Western's service region. Each partnership is funded by a combination of federal financial aid, other public funds and private funds. On average, federal financial aid funds 33 percent of the need; city and county governments and school districts fund 33 percent of the need; and the remaining 34 percent will be equally funded through three sources - foundations, businesses, and individuals. The objective of Send our Children to College: A Campaign to Change our Future is to cultivate private/public partnerships that will sustain a viable CCAP throughout the region for the next five years and to cultivate lifelong relationships that will ensure the perpetuity of the program.
