VWCC Bookstore Policy
Students must present a valid picture ID and their VWCC Student ID Number in order to charge textbooks and supplies to their account. Students must also sign the purchase receipt at the time of payment. Your signature certifies that you:
- give permission to Virginia Western Community College and the campus Bookstore to access your financial aid information and to charge books and supplies that you purchase against your financial aid while you are enrolled as a student. This permission is given voluntarily without coersion.
- understand that if financial aid eligibility is reduced or canceled due to a change in your enrollment status or eligibility and does not cover the amount you have charged, you are responsible for paying the resulting balance and will be denied future services by the College until you have repaid the debt.
- understand that you were awarded financial aid to cover the costs of your attendance at Virginia Western Community College. As a result, you may only charge to your account, those books and supplies that are required for classes in which you are enrolled. You further understand that you may not charge to financial aid multiple copies of the same textbook during the enrollment term.
- understand that you may not purchase books and supplies for other students, staff or faculty members.
If you fail to abide by these restrictions, you will be subject to sanctions up to and including expulsion from the institution.
