Introduction

Distance learning is a convenient alternative to regular courses, providing equivalent substance and quality without the traditional constraints of time and place.

Virginia Western offers 500 classes on line and the ability to earn three degrees (General Studies, Social Sciences, and Veterinary Technology[offered through Blue Ridge Community College]) and one certificate (Web Programming ) from the comforts of home. [Speech, math, and lab science requirements may be met by completing hybrid courses offered in Weekend College.] Many other degrees and certificates have a majority of the courses of the degree offered online or hybrid.
