The following is a list of local professionals available to conduct testing for the documentation of disabilities that may impact learning and academic performance. Providers listed below are not endorsed by Virginia Western Community College and may or may not accept most insurance carriers.

VDBVI - Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired
VDBVI is an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia that is dedicated to its mission of providing services and resources which empower Virginians who are blind, vision impaired or deaf blind to achieve their desired levels of employment, education, and personal independence.

DARS (formerly DRS) - Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services
The Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, in collaboration with community partners, provides and advocates for resources and services to improve the employment, quality of life, security, and independence of older Virginians, Virginians with disabilities, and their families.

BISWVA - Brain Injury Services of Southwest Virginia
The mission of Brain Injury Services of SWVA is to create and sustain an organization that helps brain injury survivors and their families in Southwest Virginia. Blue Ridge Independent Living Center
