We are glad to post your positions on our physical Job Board in addition to, or instead of, using our online Job Bank! Positions posted by either method will also be forwarded to faculty who work with students in the field for which you are hiring. To have a position posted on the physical Job Board, please email your job description to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We also invite employers to visit campus at their convenience to reach out to students so they may learn more about an organization's available positions. A table is available for employer use in one of our main student thoroughfares, allowing companies the opportunity to speak with many students. We will advertise employer visits in advance so more students will be aware of their presence on campus. Wireless Internet access is available here for employers wishing to have students apply directly through their website. Employers are welcome to use this campus space for any length of time for one or more days. Repeat visits are welcomed! Companies may bring any table displays, signs, giveaways, etc. that they wish.
Employers are encouraged to interact with students to help them learn more about specific companies, fields of employment or expected work behaviors. Hearing directly from those individuals who will be hiring them makes a real impact on students! The Center offers numerous programs throughout the year that include employer participation, and we would be glad to have you volunteer to work with our students by:
- speaking about your company,
- offering tours of your facility,
- providing job shadowing or mentoring opportunities,
- reviewing student resumes,
- participating in mock interviews or networking events.
We also have an Advisory Council to guide our practices and activities, and we welcome members from all fields. The Council consists of employers, alumni, students and faculty.
