STEM-H Summit & Career Fair - October 7, 2016

The STEM-H Summit and Career Fair is a joint effort between Virginia Western Community College and the employers of the greater Roanoke Valley. It generally takes place in early October. Exact details will be posted when available.

The morning portion of the Summit focuses on career exploration. It is specifically designed to bring together employers with high school juniors and seniors, as well as undecided VWCC students, who have an interest in pursuing science, engineering, technology, math, or health science degrees.

The afternoon portion is a STEM-H Career Fair geared towards Virginia Western students seeking job opportunities or gathering essential career related information from those working in the industry. This presents exciting and unique opportunities for students who want to pursue a career in a STEM-H field with a company in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas. The Career Fair is a great opportunity for employers currently seeking to add to their workforce, as well as those simply wishing to network with prospective future employees so a cache of resumes can be obtained.

The goal of the STEM-H Summit & Career Fair is to continue developing a career pipeline by offering exciting and unique opportunities for students who want to pursue a technical career in the Roanoke Valley. VWCC faculty and staff are excited about this year's event and hope that you will mark your calendars to participate in what will be an energized, information-packed affair.
