Applications for the 2013 Class are being accepted now through March 15, 2013. Applicants who provide all necessary material and have a complete file by March 15, 2013 will be considered for admission. Early application is encouraged. By applying to VWCC and submitting your high school and college transcripts the Student Information Specialist, Pam Woody, may be able to help you with placement testing, course selections, or determine if you currently meet the minimum academic requirements.
We require all application material(s) be submitted directly to Health Professions - if you fail to do so, be aware we will not be responsible for any delays in processing your file. Complete the following and submit in one envelope addressed to Pam Woody, VWCC-Health Professions, P.O. Box 14007, Roanoke, VA 24038.
Have all official sealed transcripts (high school and college) and a copy of GED scores (if applicable). We strongly suggest the applicant request transcript(s) be sent to the applicant's mailing address, so you are fully aware of whether your request is filled and all material can be placed by you in one larger envelope for submission. Remember, do not open any envelope which contains a sealed transcript, they are no longer "official" to us when you have opened them. If any school refuses to issue "official" transcripts directly to student, please request they be sent addressed directly to Pam Woody at the address above instead. Please do not request transcripts from VWCC, NVCC, or any other community college in Virginia (only exception).
College graduates must still provide their official HS transcript. Transcripts are also required from any hospital-based Radiologic Professions program of study attended. You must provide an official transcript from each school attended, even though courses may appear on a subsequent schools transcript as accepted "transfer". We must still receive the original institutions transcript. You will receive the Radiation Oncology Advising form letter after your complete academic file is reviewed by the Information Specialist (usually within 3-4 weeks if received from May-December).
Two letters of recommendation from employers or professors are also required before March 15, 2013. You can review the breeze presentation to learn more about the application process and eligibility.
We use VW Alert to immediately contact you during a major crisis or emergency.
